Privacy Notice — Webinars and Course Materials

This notice is provided by MAD Education (ABN 18 606 644 508), a business registered in Victoria, Australia, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect. When you register for or attend our webinars or courses, we may collect: your name, email address, profession/registration type, and payment details (processed by our third-party payment provider — we do not store full card details). If you join a live webinar with your camera, microphone, or chat enabled, we also collect your video, audio, and any chat/Q&A content you submit.

Why we collect it. We use this information to deliver the course or webinar, process payment, issue any CPD/attendance certificates, respond to your questions, produce recordings for our on-demand library, and — only if you opt in separately — send you marketing about future courses.

Please don't share identifiable patient/client/athlete details. During live Q&A, do not include any information that could identify a real patient, client, or athlete (name, date of birth, unique case details). If this happens inadvertently, contact us and we will edit the recording before it is reused.

Who we share it with. We disclose information to the service providers we use to run these events and store data — for example our webinar platform, course hosting platform, email/CRM tool, and payment processor. Some of these providers host data on servers located outside Australia (e.g. in the United States), meaning your information may be handled overseas by that provider under their own security practices.

Storage and security. We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure and retain it only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, after which it is deleted or de-identified.

Access and correction. You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting [email protected].

Complaints. If you have a concern about how we've handled your personal information, contact MAD Education at [email protected] in the first instance. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
